Two year group bubbles at a primary school in Bispham will self-isolate until December after a positive case of Covid-19 was confirmed.

Years One and Five at St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School on Devonshire Road were told to self-isolate until December 2.

Headteacher Alexis Satterthwaite thanked parents for their "many messages of support" for the school community.

Mrs Satterthwaite told affected parents: "We have a positive case of Covid-19 that has an impact on your child’s bubble - Year One and Year Five.

"We are very disappointed that we have had to close two bubbles and the affect this will have on our families, but we also acknowledge that we have been very lucky to have not had any bubbles being sent home before now.

"I want to reassure you all that our school community is fine."
