Lancashire tops national GCSE scores
GCSE pupils at schools in Fylde and Wyre have bucked the national trend.
Provisional results show around 60.5 per cent of Lancashire’s students achieved at least five A* - C passes including English and maths, compared with 59.9 per cent last year.
County Coun Matthew Tomlinson, cabinet member for schools, said it was “a good sign.”
