In 2016, B&FC was bestowed with Foundation Degree Awarding Powers by the Privy Council, demonstrating confidence in the College’s ability to deliver high quality higher education.

This was followed by the College receiving the highest possible gold rating in the new national Teaching Excellence Framework for higher education in 2017.

Since then the College has been working to develop its initial programmes and this year launched its first foundation degree in Marine Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
