Mark Oulson-Jenkins executive producer at Studio RTR, said businesses had made huge strides in exploiting digital technologies to cope with the restrictions placed upon them in the past year.

He said firms had found new ways to sell and promote their goods and services.

The Digital and Marketing Business of the Year is one of 19 awards up for grabs at The BIBAs this year, with applications open until April 30.

Categories include Small and Medium Business of the Year, Manufacturing and Service Business of the Year and for this year there is a Most Resilient Business of the Year, recognising the achievements of firms during the pandemic.

The awards are offering cash prizes to its winners in recognition of the financial impact of the past 12 months.
