Stuart honoured for safety role

Redrow’s Stuart Bullough, who’s in charge of building 67 new homes at Whitehill Meadows, off Lytham St Annes Way, has picked up a highly commended health and safety award from the National House-Building Council, one of only 22 won in the UK.

Now in their sixth year, the NHBC Health and Safety Awards are the UK’s only health and safety awards scheme for home builders.

Primarily designed to recognise and reward the very best in health and safety, the awards are also helping to drive up safety standards in the industry by showcasing and sharing best practice.

Blackpool resident Stuart, 41, (pictured with NHBC chief executive Mike Quinton and former England rugby union coach Sir Clive Woodward OBE) said: “I’m over the moon to have received this prestigious award. It proves we are meeting very high standards for health and safety at Whitehill Meadows. I’m very proud of the whole team; all site staff, contractors and divisional support teams who have helped to make this happen. We believe a clean, tidy and organised working environment go hand in hand with a quality built home.

“Keeping our staff, contractors and visitors safe while working or visiting any of our sites is of course a top priority for Redrow and it’s great to have our hard work recognised in this way.”

Stuart, who has worked for Redrow for 11 years, collected his award at an event in Birmingham.
