“This Festival will see an even bigger impact on young women’s lives than just careers advice, it’s impact will result in young women having a more positive and informed attitude when making key choices in their academic, learning, career and personal life choices.”

One of those who will be mentoring the girls is Helen Broughton, managing director of Fylde coast accountancy group Danbro.

She said: "International Women's Day is an opportunity to inspire and encourage the next generation of women into leadership.

"Great leadership is not gender exclusive and whilst history has not been kind to women who aspire to lead. The world of work is changing and young women need to know they too can become great leaders if they wish.”
