Richard arrives at the renewable energy investor and developer with experience in business development, sales and account management at Carillion and John Laing.

Under REI’s funding model, he will work with accredited installation partners to fit solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for customers free of charge.

Richard said: “Although commercial energy funding models can be complex, all of the PV installers who I have worked with previously have said that the best and easiest funding model by far was REI’s.”

“I am looking forward to contributing to the success of a dynamic and expanding company while delivering strong benefits to customers.”

Richard becomes REI’s seventh account manager.

Solar PV schemes are fitted free under REI’s scheme, which means customers can preserve their capital for their core business.

REI then supplies clean, green electricity at a heavily discounted rate before handing over ownership of the system entirely in 20 years.
