Lane closure set for Devonshire Road from TONIGHT
Temporary traffic lights were put up close to the railway bridge earlier this month, but taken down days later following reports of chaos during rush hour.
In a statement, Network Rail said the latest round of work, which starts tonight, ‘may impact a small number of journeys in the town’ due to ‘planned work taking place beside the railway bridge’.

The restriction will be in place between 8pm today and 2am tomorrow, with the same hours of work planned for Friday and Tuesday.
The road will also be made one way from 8pm until 11pm on Sunday.
Blackpool Council said it told contractors to remove temporary traffic lights from the main route, which links Blackpool to Bispham, Cleveleys, and Fleetwood, last week, and claimed they had been put up without the proper permission.

Those lights, and a one-lane closure, were originally set to be in place until this Saturday, with the latest plans running slightly beyond that date.
