Fylde firms urged to cash in on export week

Fylde coast businesses are being urged to start exporting or increase their international trade as part of UK Trade and Investment’s Export Week from November 9 to 13.

UKTI North West and its partners and business organisations are together staging a range of events and webinars throughout the week to open global trading doors for local businesses.

And UKTI has urged Fylde-based firms to miss out on vital advice and support.

Among the keynote events in North West during Export Week are:

• Spotlight on India at Baker Tilly in Preston on Tuesday, November 10. The day will involve discussions of export opportunities in key sectors in India – with speakers from the UK India Business Council, company case studies and Baker Tilly.

• Spotlight on Asia Pacific at Best Western Castle Green, Kendal, on Monday, November 9. This event will focus on opportunities in Hong Kong, China and Japan, with speakers from Cumbria LEP Board, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Lancaster University as well as case studies from businesses who have already experienced success.

The week ends with the Explore Export event at Old Trafford Football Stadium on Friday, November 13.
