Free financial training for firms across Lancashire
Kaplan Financial, based in Manchester, has agreed to be a partner of Lancashire Skills Support for the Workforce (LSS), which aims to support almost 4,000 employees working in the county’s small and medium-sized businesses.
Kaplan will provide accountancy, tax, finance and other business-related training and qualifications to LSS candidates.

Hide AdLSS, which is funded by the European Social Fund, operates across the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, which consists of Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen local authorities.
Gill Daly, Kaplan’s Manchester centre manager, said: “This is just one of the ways that the European Social Fund is helping to support business growth in the local community.”
Amanda Melton, chair of the Lancashire Skills Board, said: “It is incredibly pleasing to have the backing of so many of the county’s major colleges and training providers. Kaplan will give us another string to our bow, offering specialist business and finance qualifications.”
Businesses qualifying for the LSS scheme receive a free training needs analysis.

Hide AdEligible employees within the business can then access free accredited training from leading providers based on their skills requirements.
The LSS delivery partnership already includes Blackpool and the Fylde College.
