Housebuilder Lovell Homes has harnessed the power of social media to get directly in touch with house hunters and mark the launch of Woodlark Chase, its new development in Anchorsholme.

The housebuilder’s first ever interactive Instagram launch gave house hunters a chance to discover how professionals go from the mood board to reality, enjoy a sneak peek at the show homes at Woodlark Chase and have their say on the rooms and features as well as design trends that would make their next house a dream home.

With almost 300 voters, it revealed that 73 per cent of people would choose an office over a playroom, 86 per cent would prefer a rear facing kitchen and a utility room is a non-negotiable for 77 per cent.

Anne-Marie O’Doherty, regional sales director said: “We really loved this launch as we got to hear from potential buyers about what they value in a new home even though we couldn’t meet them in person.

"It’s no surprise that most house hunters would choose a home office, given the shift to home working, but 77 per cent voting a utility as a non-negotiable really shows how modern families live.

"People want a practical space for storage and to keep dirty wellies and washing out of view, which is why we’ve included it in our family friendly Rochester house.

“The pandemic has forced us to think differently about how we showcase our finished show homes. So much work goes into the design and construction of the houses as well as the interior design and finishing touches, that we usually love opening up our doors and commemorating a brand-new launch. However, that’s just not possible at the moment.

“As a result, we’ve had to adapt to the situation - this is in fact our second online launch due to the pandemic – and I think that getting house hunters involved from the comfort of their sofas has been a huge success. Instagram was the perfect platform for this development launch as we wanted to reach first time buyers and young families, and the weekend saw our highest level of online engagement to date.”

The 86-home development offers a collection of two, three and four-bedroom properties.
