These were the scenes in Blackpool last night as locals enjoyed a long overdue night out and a pint

After more than three months, people in Blackpool were allowed to meet up with friends and family for a drink as pubs reopened for outdoor service.

From yesterday, non-essential shops, pubs, gyms, hairdressers, cafés and outdoor attractions welcomed customers back as the country took the next step out of lockdown.

And even the temperature dipping into the evening couldn't put people off as they flocked to their local beer garden.
