As the news of the impending Debenhams Blackpool store closure sinks in following the company's deal with online retailer Boohoo, we look at all the national and local businesses that the town has lost during in the last 12 months.

Covid has decimated the retail and tourism sector in the town over the last year, and with no sign of lockdown ending any time soon the pressure on businesses is continuing to mount.
While many businesses have cited Covid as the main cause for the closure, some businesses have closed for other reasons.

Greens - Blackpool - Earlier this month (January 2021) the current owners announced that the Highfield Road cafe would not be reopening after lockdown. However, since the initial announcement the owner has clarified via social media that the shop will not be closing permanently, and is available to rent. Photo: Google
