The Promenade chippy will open on Wednesday, June 3, with reduced times and social distancing measures in place.

James Low from owners Deep Blue said: “We have been keen to reopen gradually to ensure our team has time to adjust and we can make the necessary changes to out operational practices.

"Our customers have been happy to queue with social distancing and the feedback has been very positive.”

The take-away in the Tower building will open Wednesday to Friday: 4pm to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday: noon to 9pm.

It will not be open on Monday's and Tuesdays for the time being. The sit-in restaurant area will not yet be open.
