Closing date for Cleveleys Poundland as store launches 'everything must go' sale
Poundland will close in Cleveleys next month.
The discount store in Victoria Road West will close permanently on Monday, March 23.
The store began a clearance sale on Wednesday (February 11) with discounts of up to 40 per cent, and this will continue until the doors close in five weeks’ time.
Poundland said they were unable to secure lease terms to keep trading at the town centre store, and said the closure is not related to the company’s recent restructure.
It added there were no plans to relocate the store elsewhere in the area.

A Poundland spokesperson said: “We began a clearance sale at the store in Cleveleys at 75 Victoria Road West earlier this week (on February 11) as the store is due to close on March 23.
“We can also confirm that any future and current closures (and that’s the case for Cleveleys) are a consequence of standard business-as-usual lease events expected at a retailer with a large store network, not because of the restructure.
“I’m afraid that's the situation here - we’ve been unable to secure lease terms that would enable us to keep trading there.”
