Builders win regional award

The Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the best builders in the UK, is unique.

Nominations come from a satisfied client, and builders are judged on their all-round performance: technical ability together with customer service skills, attention to detail and the end result.

Simmons Construction, based at the Red Marsh estate, Thornton, was chosen by the region’s judges to win the Commercial Project of the Year prize and will now go through to compete in the national finals. The national winners of the 12th Builder of the Year Awards will be announced by TV presenter Charlie Luxton, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on February 18.

Steve Laurence, FMB Service Director for the North West, said: “The Master Builder of the Year Awards give clients the opportunity to celebrate a job well done and to say thank you to their builder.

“Time and time again we have been impressed with just how far these builders will go to ensure their client is happy. It is this dedication that we want to celebrate.
