Blackpool students win business start-up competition with cybersecurity idea

The competition run by Strawberry Fields Digital Hub in Chorley offered the chance for the winner to receive everything required to start and take a digital or creative business to the next level.
Finalists gathered at the hub, now 68 per cent occupied, as the winners were announced by Coun Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council.

Hide AdSoon to be graduates from Lancaster University, studying at Blackpool and Fylde College, Gerwyn Moores and Chris Whalley, whose business Trinity Cyber offers cybersecurity services.
The business is expected to launch this summer when they’ll join other digital and creative businesses at the hub.
Gerwyn Moores said: “We’re so pleased that we’ve won the competition. It will really provide valuable support and resources for the new business. The first few months of setting up a business can be a challenge, and this will really help.”
Second and third place winners also received hot desk space at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub for 12 months.
