Blackpool firm Oil and gas deal secured

A Blackpool firm has signed an international oil and gas contract.

WJF Technical Support , which was founded in 2010 and is based at the Sycamore Trading Estate at Squires Gate, sources and supplies specialist staff for a variety of sectors including automotive; aerospace and defence and oil and gas industries.

It will now be supplying well services personnel to the IKM Group.

The IKM Group is a multi-discipline sub-supplier to the global Oil and Gas industry, with bases in 13 countries. Its headquarters are in Oslo, Norway, and the Group has 2,450 employees.

The company focuses on well services in addition to its existing pipeline and process business.

Tim Freshney, WJF Technical Support’s managing director, said: “This is a significant contract for us and everyone here is thrilled to be working with such a reputable company as the IKM Group.

“We will initially be working on a number of upcoming projects with the Aberdeen office, and are looking forward to further developing this partnership as we progress through 2017 and beyond.
