Blackpool agency says positivity is the way forward amid lockdown

Catapult PR and has been shortlisted for two national CIPR Excellence Awards, in the categories of Best Arts, Culture, Sport or Entertainment PR Campaign and Outstanding Freelance Practitioner.

The PR consultancy, has been recognised for its work for Northumberland Day 2019 and the personal contribution managing director, Jane Hunt, makes to the industry and her clients’ campaigns.

Despite the CIPR Excellence Awards are among the industry’s premier awards, competed for by national agencies all sizes and budgets, this is the fifth time Catapult PR has reached the finals.

It already has two national CIPR Excellence Awards in its trophy cabinet, but, this is the first time Catapult has received two national shortlistings in the same year.

The coronavirus lockdown has however hit the ceremony and has also left the creative agency still sitting on three PRMoment.com awards shortlistings for this year too. A ceremony scheduled for March was cancelled at the last minute.

The consultancy’s is nevertheless aiming to prove the power of positivity in PR and content writing. It has re-strategized on behalf of all clients, changed the mode of communication and messaging to suit the new business climate and come up with creative ways to promote its clients and keep them in touch with customers.

Managing director, Jane Hunt, said: “We have adopted a hugely pro-active approach to all of our clients’ campaigns, based on our 22 years’ experience of peaks and troughs and combining PR and content writing with the creativity for which we are known.

“This is helping our clients enormously and enabling them to not just retain customer loyalty but have new contracts and business in place for when things return to normal.

"High quality offline and digital content is proving hugely important and winning hearts and minds and we have actually started to work with new clients and had enquiries from businesses, such as new hotels.”
