Homestead (, which is based on Wood Street, St Annes, won the title of Major Works Project of the Year at The Property Management Awards in London.

Now in its fifth year, the awards ceremony recognises and celebrates excellence in the UK Property Management industry.

This award for Homestead follows hot on the heels of October’s Arma-Q Award when Homestead were acknowledged as the best in the country ahead of 300 other eligible Association of Residential Management Agents (ARMA) members.

Both awards reflected Homestead’s work in managing the £2.5m project to rejuvenate 104 flats at Seven Rivers on Samuel Street, Fishwick in Preston.

For Homestead, managing director David Bentham, said: “Homestead has never traditionally entered awards.

“But perhaps, after the success we’ve enjoyed this year, we should have thought about it earlier.”

“We were obviously delighted in October when we won the Arma-Q award. But to hold two prestigious national industry awards at the same time is a bit special. We always hoped the project would catch the eye of our industry peers. But this level of success is totally unexpected.

“Once again, the award is a wonderful endorsement of Homestead’s work. And we are extremely grateful for the positive working relationships we have enjoyed with Regain Energy and Preston City Council. They shared our determination and vision to complete this landmark project.”

Last month Homestead revealed a hat-trick of new 24-hour maintenance support deals.

The owners of Cherry Tree apartments on Gladstone Close in Blackburn; Canal Gardens in Bolton le Sands and The Dobson Street development in Anfield, Liverpool, have all chose Homestead Consultancy Services Ltd from St Annes as their Company Secretary and managing agents.

The deal means that more than 80 North West flat residents will now have 24/7 maintenance support for the first time.

Homestead already manage more than 150 apartment blocks in the region.
