Blackpool Illuminations Switch On 2020: Virtual live show switches venue from Blackpool Tower to Empress Ballroom

Organisers of Blackpool's live Switch On event tonight have been forced to make a last-minute change to the proceedings moving venues to the Empress Ballroom.

The virtual concert. which will be headlined by Spice Girl Melanie C and will also include a live performance from Blackpool talent, singer songwriter Rae Morris was due to kick off live at 8.30pm from Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

The free viewing event will be available online by logging on to visitblackpool.com/switchon, youtube.com/mtvinternational and facebook.com/mtvmusicukDiversity's Jordan Banjo and Perri Kieley will once again be hosting the show. A group of seven 'Corona Heroes' will have the honour of switching on this year's Lights.
