Host Leye D Johns said: “We’ve got to show the other side to Blackpool, rather than ‘999 What’s Your Emergency’ or ‘Benefits Britain’.
There are businesses here doing well, there are decent people here as well as excellent businesses and venues such as ours who strive to deliver the kind of standard and product that the town needs to deliver as a year round family resort.”
The final format for the show is still hush-hush but a pilot show will be filmed at Viva!on Thursday with hundreds of free tickets are available from the box office.
Leye added: “Performing on the night will be the cast of the VIVA Christmas Cabaret show which is currently packing in the crowds since launching last Friday and I’ll be joined by a host of special guests and famous faces.
“It’s a chance to see the festive show and more for free!
“It’s a chance to be a part of a whole new project for TV.
“We’re so excited to be a part of it and we want to invite lots of people to come and see filming on the Thursday n evening which will be a variety show performed and filmed on our very own stage.”
