The first guests on the autumn line-up are Canadian act My Sweet Patootie, on Thursday, September 11.

Hailing from Ontario, their vintage-style song writing is rooted in folk and Americana.

A spokesman added: “Throw in a penchant for light-hearted satire and their love of artists like Patsy Cline and Hank Williams and you get a sound that they call a cross between acoustic style vintage swing, folk and Canadiana.

“And the band’s name ‘My Sweet Patootie’ is a slang term of endearment which became popular in the 1920s.”

Garstang Unplugged takes place at The Kenlis Arms, Ray Lane, Barnacre, Garstang, from 8.30pm.

The next show in the monthly special will be Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer on October 16.

They’re hailed for the mix of rich, detailed folk music and rootsy Americana.

Tickets cost £10 from (01995) 602795, online at www.garstangunplugged.com or on the door.
