These nursery school children roared with delight after listening to some of their favourite books.

The toddlers, from Busy Bees BAE Warton Nursery, listened to their favourite tales as part of National Storytelling Week.

Manager Naomi Jackson said the event was extremely popular with the children, who got to act out performing as their favourite characters.

She added: “We have been doing a lot for storytelling week, including visiting local libraries. We also had a special event where we invited mums, dads, grandmas and grandads into the nursery to share their favourite stories in groups.

“More than 30 children were involved and really enjoyed it. We finished the week with a bear hunt in the garden.”
