More than 250 youngsters will be taking to the stage on a rota basis during the three-week, 39-performance run of Mother Goose, which is set to begin on December 9.

They are drawn from across the Fylde coast – from dance schools Clifton Academy and Hot Foot of St Annes and The Dance Place of Blackpool.

And bosses behind the mammoth performance say rehearsals are well under way.

“If ever proof were needed about the strength of regional theatre we have it right here,” said show director Tim Lince.

“The excitement the young people bring is so infectious and somewhere among the expectant faces could be a performer who will, in 20 years, be a household name and bring entertainment and happiness to millions.

“Our job is to give them the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment.”
