The show begins! - Nothing was quite as it seemed as the annual Showzam! Carnival Ball sprinkled some saucy magic over Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Getting better with age - Ida Barr’s Variety Parade - Grand Theatre, Blackpool. Imagine Hinge without Bracket (or the other way round) finding a cache of prescription drugs next to their care worker’s CD collection and you are part way to where “the peoples’ pensioner” Ida Barr is coming from.

A new twist on big top - Circus Shorts, Grand Theatre, Blackpool. Given the Collins English Dictionary definition of circus as “(performance given by) a travelling company of acrobats, clowns, performing animals etc” then any questions about the credentials of Circus Shorts can be put to one side.
