Two more libraries set to reopen in Blackpool - here's what you need to know

Blackpool Council has announced plans to reopen Anchorsholme Library on Tuesday, October 13 with limited operating times of 10am to 1pm, Tuesday to Thursday.

Revoe Library is set to reopen on Tuesday, October 20 and will be open to the public Tuesday to Thursday, 1pm to 4pm.

Visitors to the libraries will be able to return and borrow books and other items as well as access computer facilities.

Coun Gillian Campbell, Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for tourism and culture with responsibility for libraries, said: “We are delighted to see two more of our libraries reopen their

doors with measures in place to ensure a safe visit for customers.

“We know how much our residents value our libraries and we are looking forward to welcoming people back safely to Anchorsholme and Revoe.”

Layton, Moor Park and Palatine libraries have already reopened their doors.

They are open Monday and Friday, 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.

Blackpool’s Central Library is open 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Restrictions and procedures are in place, such as reduced visitor capacity, limited time on library computers, mandatory hand sanitising upon entry and exit and mandatory use of face

coverings.

Visitors will be asked to check in via the NHS COVID-19 app by scanning a QR code poster. Those without access to the app will be required to have their contact details taken manually.
