Style guru Gok Wan was in Blackpool to do one of his trademark makeovers... on himself!

The TV presenter star of How to Look Good Naked and This Morning dropped in with his family to Madame Tussauds on the Prom.

Gok had arranged for his nieces to come and see his waxwork figure for the first time which was due for a new hairstyle to keep up with the stylist’s latest iconic do.

And he managed to find time in his busy schedule to pop along, too, for a family treat in Blackpool, a favourite of the Leicester-based family since he was a child.

The attraction’s hairdressers worked round the clock in time to get it ready for a beauty consultation by the man himself.

He spent time posing with his wax figure before the family got up close and personal for pictures to add to the family album.

Gok Wan said: “Thank you so much Madame Tussauds Blackpool for immortalising me in wax at 36 years old so I shall never grow old.

“The ingenuity and craftsmanship that the team put in is outstanding”

It was a full family affair including Gok’s mum and dad, brother and sister and of course his nieces, Lola and Maya.

Gok’s brother Kwoklyn Wan said: “It’s strange to see my brother like this but a great opportunity.

“He’s a bit shorter in real life though – it must be the heels!”

The How To Look Good Naked star’s wax figure is among a host of other Best of British celebrities currently homed at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.

Gok is joined by other TV favourites such as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Keith Lemon and Alan Carr.

General Manager of Madame Tussauds Blackpool, Matthew Titherington, said the staff were delighted to meet Gok who caused quite a stir.

He said: “It was a brilliant opportunity for Gok to be able to travel up with his family to see his wax figure.

“He’s very popular and it was great to see both of them next to each other.”

After posing with fans, Gok and his family took their time looking around the rest of the attraction which boasts nine different interactive experiences.
