EMAIL of the week so far is the following: “Due to popular demand, Showaddywaddy will be performing a second date at The Albert Halls, Bolton.”

Never before, or at least not for the last three decades, have I see the words ‘Showaddywaddy’ and ‘due to popular demand’ in the same sentence.

But if they are the kind of band that float your boat, then the new gig in Bolton is on Friday, June 21, 2013 (they sold out their first Bolton date, a gig which takes place on Friday). Tickets for the June concert are £18.50 and £17 for concessions and the show starts at 8pm.

To book go to www.alberthalls-bolton.co.uk or contact the box office on 01204 334400.

l DAUGHTER, a band predicted to do big things this year, are playing an intimate gig at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral on April 22 as part of a nationwide tour.

The band have released two excellent EPs thus far - His Young Heart and The Wild Youth.

Check them out on Youtube and if you’re sufficiently impressed, tickets for the Liverpool gig are on sale now at www.seetickets.com
