A Fylde model is raising a glass to her big screen break.

Nina Sethi, from Ansdell, is starring in a commercial for the world’s second-largest beer brand, Tsingtao – pronounced Ching Dow.

The advert is being shown in more than 3,000 cinemas throughout the UK until
February 21 – and Nina is all set to see it in its full glory for the first time this weekend.

“I have seen it on my phone and other smaller media but I am hoping to catch it as it intended to be seen in the next few days,” she said.

“My dad has seen it and he says it’s great.”

Nina in fact has reason to be grateful to dad Rajan for her part in the minute-long
advert, which involved two days’ filming, sadly not in China, but in Manchester and London.

The fast-paced ad sees Nina recruiting players and being the mysterious host of an underground table
tennis event and she said: “The role was perfect for me as I’m a huge table tennis fan and I even have a table my back garden.

“I play all the time with my family and I should be grateful to my dad for getting the table in the first place.”

The ad is the biggest break yet for the 24-year-old, who has made a rapid rise up the modelling ladder after reaching the semi-finals of Sky Living TV’s model search show The Face last autumn.

Her involvement with that saw her signed up by Boss Model management, a company recommended by one of the TV judges, top model Erin O’Connor. After catwalk shows for the likes of Harvey Nichols and Vogue in Manchester, Nina has recently been modelling for George at Asda and is thrilled by a new campaign for Harley Davidson clothing.

“It is going very well,” said the former student of Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College.

“There has been a lot of exciting work and I hope to get an opportunity to travel overseas soon. I had never done modelling full-time before and I must admit it is the hardest job I have ever had.

“You have to be careful what you eat and exercise regularly. It isn’t a case of just turning up and looking pretty – there is much more to it than that.”

Alongside her table tennis exploits, Nina is a keen all-round sportswoman, having featured for Lytham St Annes Ladies’ hockey team.
