It was like a scene from Baywatch as a television star strutted her stuff along Blackpool beach in Pamela Anderson’s famous red bikini for charity.
We may still be in the middle of winter – and far from the sunny weather of California – but that didn’t stop Alice Barry, who is best known for her roles in TV comedies Shameless and Benidorm.
She braved the conditions along the seafront – kitted out in the famed red swimsuit, a blonde wig and her own trademark black glasses – to raise money for Sport Relief.
By recreating the model’s famous scenes, Alice, who lived in Bispham until a few years ago, hopes to get more people involved with the charity.
This year, she will be taking part in the first ever Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games, from March 21 to 23.
She said: “You really don’t need to be sporty to get involved with Sport Relief, and this year there are even more ways to participate in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games.”
Since its formation in 2002, Sports Relief helped raise more than £195m for disadvantaged children based in the UK and across the globe.
As part of the games, entrants are invited to take part in running, swimming and cycling challenges.
