Blackpool’s own big screen little star has been confirmed to be appearing in this year’s pantomime at the Grand Theatre.
Albert Wilkinson, famous for appearances in films Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willow, Labyrinth and the Never Ending Story, is the latest name added to the bill for Snow White And The Seven Drawfs, running from Decemeber 4.
‘Little Albert’ will be joining fellow local lad Dancing On Ice star Dan Whiston, who will play the Prince, as well as actress Su Pollard and BBC Radio Lancashire and Grand panto favourite Steve Royle.
He’s been in showbusiness for more than 40 years, travelling all over the world for work in films, stage and television.
Grand marketing manager Andrew Howard said: “Albert is a true star, it’s great to have him back on the Grand’s stage.
“He goes down a storm with the children and adults alike.
“Albert’s charisma and warmth is what he is known for – he’s part of our family, and we can’t wait to see him back on the stage this Christmas.
“We have an incredible line-up and ticket sales are way ahead of last year at the same time.
“We can’t wait for the launch on Friday, August 21 in Stanley Park – I hope you will all join us in welcoming the cast for the first time”
