Fast rising Manchester rock band Where’s Strutter? (pictured left) makes its Blackpool debut on Thursday at Nellie Deans on North Promenade.

The band, which has recently supported Razorlight and The View, has included Blackpool as part of its You, Me and The Devil Makes 3, UK tour promoting t single of the same name which was released yesterday.

Promoted by Nathanael Howell and Utopia Music Associated he said: “I believe this is the biggest band to do a small gig in Blackpool for a very long time.

“In Manchester they are worshipped and they have also supported such acts as Twisted Wheel, Pete Doherty and The Arctic Monkeys to name a few.”

The night, which starts at 7pm, also features The Pretty Thunder and The Colours and admission is free.

“I have a vision for Blackpool‘s music scene and I want to inspire young talent to stray away from the dying metal scene and poor quality bands currently on show,” said Nathanael. “Blackpool should be on top like Manchester and Liverpool as far as music goes and maybe in 10 to 15 years I can help create a new indie or alternative band from Blackpool that defines an era.

“The gigs I showcase will only have local/regional talent supporting the signed headline act, I have plans and contacts to bring some massive signed acts to Nellie Deans for a more close up and sincere experience.”
