Children are invited to a special summer party at Thornton Little Theatre.
On Friday, August 28, Pongo’s Party comes to town - bringing with it a huge children’s band and the ‘biggest ever game of pass the parcel’ the town’s ever seen.
An interactive show, with plenty of fun and games, Pongo’s Party features the voice of Justin Fletcher, AKA CBeebies’ Mr Tumble, as Pongo the Pig.
The show’s been created and presented by Martin Parsons (Playdays Live, Sooty’s Magic Castle) and Kate Ashmead (Tweenies, Thomas & Friends Live) and with original direction by one of the top names in children’s entertainment, Playschool presenter and BBC Tweenies’ creator, Iain Lauchlan.
The show takes place in a ‘vibrant, colourful and imaginative farmyard’ that’s home to loveable puppet characters.
And Martin and Kate also take part, as Marty MacDonald and Sally the Scarecrow.
Marton said: “We have always been committed to producing top quality, live entertainment that can reach as wide an audience as possible and this one has everything that children could ever want at a party.”
And the show will even use Makaton signing to make it accessible to children with communication or learning difficulties.
Tickets cost £9. Call (01253) 887693 to book.
