The Storytellers theatre company return for another season of family entertainment.
Tales from The Gypsy Caravan will be set in Lowther Pavilion’s Rose Garden.
Bring a chair, blanket and a picnic to enjoy the show at noon and 2.30pm today.
Using music, song, a beautiful set and their special performance style, this fantastic show brings three travellers tales from around the world to life, right before your very eyes.
“The Spider and the Honey tree” is a delightful African story about a little girl who goes into the forest to pick fruit.
“Raisa and the Baba Yaga” is a Slovakian tale that is all about the quest for true love. There is a hint of Cinderella with Raisa and her two horrible sisters!
Then there is the Chinese story of Big Mouth, Skinflint and the Horse.
This is a tale of greed that is bound to have you falling over with laughter.
Sit back and join our travelling folk and share some of the traditions and culture of life on the road.
General admission costs £7.50 and a family of three is £15. Call (01253) 794 221.
