Have your say

Pardon the pun, but magician Paul Daniels has lost none of his magic and I will do my best to conjure up a few words about his show.

He had the audience in the palm of his hand (as well as playing cards, £10 notes, etc) together with his wife, the beautiful Debbie McGee, (Paul’s words, but I agree), who wore a huge selection of stunning dresses and adds glamour to the show.

Paul, 75, is a workaholic. He is never off stage and he is performing more than 20 one-night stands this month. He has appeared worldwide with his act, is a favourite with the Royal Family and with the quality of his show you can see why.

You could say magic never dates but Paul keeps his act up to date with plenty of clever comedy – using two blackboards and referring to them as Victorian iPads.

Using several members of the audience he performed magic, illusion and even a bit of mind-reading in his act.

Judging by the applause at the end of this performance several people, myself included, will be hoping that this really is only the first of many farewell tours.
