Blackpool and Fylde Light Opera Company will be singing to the heavens above when they premier smash-hit musical Sister Act in Blackpool tonight
Someone must have been smiling down on bosses of the company when they were chosen as one of just 35 amateur groups to put on the production.
They play at the Grand Theatre from tonight until May 31, with two matinees on Thursday and Saturday.
The award-winning group winning rights to stage the show means they will put on a Blackpool premier of the musical and the only production in Lancashire.
Sister Act The Musical is the story of flamboyant nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier whose life changes beyond compare when she witnesses a murder.
Crowned ‘Lady Fabulous’ she had been seen performing in the nightclub run by her gangster boyfriend Curtis and believed he would introduce her to a record producer - she soon learns this is not the case.
Instead she sees Curtis and his crew shoot someone.
She runs to the police who take her somewhere they think no one will find her - a convent called The Holy Order of the Little Sisters.
Will Deloris survive it? Can the Sisters protect her? And will the choir get to finally perform for his Holy Father?
