The full cast has been announced for A Christmas Carol at Blackpool Opera House.
As previously announced, Paul Nicholas (pictured) will play Ebenezer Scrooge for the four-week run of the musical from Friday, December 4 until Sunday, January 3 - direct from playing evil Gavin in EastEnders.
Paul will be joined by Tom Bright as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Christopher Howell as Marley, and Daniel Cane as Bob Cratchit.
Blackpool’s own Ashley Luke Lloyd is in the company too, returning to the Opera House for the first time since appearing in Mamma Mia! for the summer 2014 season.
Peter Frosdick is producing the Charles Dickens’ classic tale, promising the full Broadway treatment - with its 10-year run at Madison Square Garden hailed by the New York Times as ‘A Tonic for Adults’.
“We have a great cast for A Christmas Carol and we are all very excited about creating a magnificent Christmas production in Blackpool,” he said.
Winter Gardens managing director Michael Williams added: “This is the perfect Christmas production for Blackpool and we look forward to welcoming audiences to this magical show.
“Complete with falling snow, exuberant dance sequences and magnificent settings which recreate streets, graveyards and buildings of Dickensian London, this show will appeal to and excite all ages.”
