Hollywood super-fans got their geek on at a charity event celebrating the shining stars of the silver screen.
Hollywood Comes to Blackpool took place at the Norbreck Castle Hotel on Blackpool seafront on Saturday.
Film and comic book lovers wearing elaborate costumes in tribute to their favourite superheroes and villains gathered at the Norcalympia to browse Hollywood merchandise and take part in cosplay competitions in support of Cash for Kids and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Actors from Star Wars and Harry Potter and artists from comic book giants DC and Marvel signed autographs while special guests from the International Charity Cosplayers collected donations dressed as Green Arrow, Deathstroke, and the Black Widow.
Event organiser Neil Draper said: “The children loved it. Everyone who turned up has given us great feedback. We really appreciate the support.
“After last year’s Blackpool comic convention there was a lot of bad publicity so I decided to do something for the community all for charity and put a bit of faith back into this sort of event.
“The time and effort put in by the Teenage Cancer Trust is amazing. We’ve already raised more than £3,000.
“Hopefully this is just a taste of bigger and better events in the future!”
