The team at Mecca Blackpool are set to welcome customers with a sparkle on Saturday, as the club is hosting a Ballroom Bingo themed night.
The evening will feature bingo, Vegas dancers, cabaret and The Rat Pack, who will be taking customers back in time with classic Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy David Jnr songs.
Those who feel like channelling the spirit of ballroom dancing can take their partner’s hand and dance the jive, whilst regular bingo players will also, of course, be able to ‘draw’ their dabbers for the usual games where fantastic prizes are on offer, including a set of tickets to the Strictly Come Dancing tour in 2017.
The ballroom-themed night will celebrate Louise Redknapp’s arrival in Blackpool, having quick stepped into a new role as the face of Mecca Bingo and the ‘We know the feeling’ campaign, which focuses on ‘the feeling’ and things players love – the rituals and lucky charms, the thrill, the camaraderie and satisfaction when playing with friends.
Louise and her partner, Kevin Clifton, will dance the Paso Doble to ‘Explosive’ by Bond at the Tower Ballroom on Saturday as they hope to once again waltz through to next week’s show.
Cheryl Gifford, manager at Mecca Blackpool Talbot Road, said: “This event will see Mecca Blackpool Talbot Road become more glamorous and more glitzy than it has ever been, with ballroom dancing taking over our entertainment for the evening.
“There will be plenty of surprises throughout the night and the customers can get up, dance along and give the professionals a run for their money!
The Ballroom Bingo night will take place from 6pm on Saturday, November 19. The £10 entry fee will cover all bingo games until 9.30pm, including Main Game and National Bingo Game, and a glass of bubbly on arrival.
To attend a Mecca Club you do need to be aged 18 years or over and be a customer of Mecca Bingo. Joining is free of charge and you can sign-up at www.meccabingo.com or at the club.
