John Resek was a founder member of the BBC Orchestra in Bristol, where he first received chamber music training from the international Amadeus String Quartet.

He later played with Max Jaffa before joining the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he toured extensively throughout the UK and abroad.

After having been a prominent member of the first violin section for many years, John left the BBC Philharmonic in order to devote more time to solo playing and chamber music. He also works as an orchestral leader and teacher.
