He later played with Max Jaffa before joining the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he toured extensively throughout the UK and abroad.

After having been a prominent member of the first violin section for many years, John left the BBC Philharmonic in order to devote more time to solo playing and chamber music. He also works as an orchestral leader and teacher.
