The Red Arrows will be the stars of the show with a dazzling air display above Blackpool Pleasure Beach this spring.
As the new Red Arrows Skyforce ride officially launches on May 25 at the resort’s theme park, a display will take place high above the town by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team.
Loved across the planet for their jaw-dropping displays which have thrilled millions, the pride of the Royal Air Force will soar high above the Promenade with a special display from 2pm over South Beach.
The fly-past will mark a unique partnership between the Red Arrows and the Pleasure Beach, where thrillseekers take control of their own aeroplane to become a master of the skies on the new ride.
Complete in Red Arrows livery, the brand new ride will also feature its own control tower from which novice pilots will be prepared for take-off.
Construction of Red Arrows Skyforce is well underway on the site which is close to the Big One rollercoaster.
The 72ft high, 12-seat white-knuckle ride will take you on a 360-degree tour of the skies. Stepping into the cockpit, you take control of the aeroplane and spin, glide and take formation in your very own display.
Deputy managing director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Nick Thompson, said: “We cannot wait to welcome the Red Arrows to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Skyforce is a unique ride and a first for the UK which we are certain will be a big hit for all our guests.
“The Red Arrows give their audiences a thrill across the globe and we are sure the new ride will give our guests a big thrill.”
