International concert pianist Louis Demetrius Alvanis gives the first Fylde Arts Midday Recital of the new autumn series at the Lytham Assembly Rooms, on Friday.
Since his highly acclaimed Royal Festival Hall concerto debut, London born Louis has established a distinguished career and reputation as a musician of outstanding brilliance and sensitivity.
He performs throughout Europe, the UK and in the USA every season, in addition to regular London appearances where he has played solo recitals in the major concert halls such as the Wigmore, Barbican, Fairfield, Queen Elizabeth and St Johns Smith Square.
He has also made many broadcasts for the BBC, ITV, Classic FM and a documentary about his work has been broadcast on cable television.
Louis has previously appeared as soloist in the Fylde area for Fylde Arts, the Grundy Midday Recitals, North Fylde Music Circle and as concerto soloist with the Blackpool Symphony Orchestra.
Friday’s programme includes works by Haydn (Sonata in Eb), Schumann (Faschingschwank aus Wien Suite), and Ravel (Gaspard de la Nuit).
The recital begins at 2pm and admission is £7 with £5 for Fylde Arts members.
