Fast rising Blackpool singer and songwriter Rae Morris has signed a major deal with Atlantic Records and is one of the support acts on chart topping Bombay Bicycle Club’s forthcoming headlining tour.

That means she will be with them for their Empress Ballroom debut on April 27 but this weekend she is playing in the far more intimate surrounds of Stanley Park’s Art Deco Cafe.

It’s been a busy start to 2012 for the hotly tipped performer – after signing to Atlantic Records she started off the New Year with a hectic schedule of gigs playing at some of the most prestigious venues in London including the Q Magazine New to Q show for new artists and the HMV Next Best Thing gig, alongside Lianne La Havas (another Bombay Bicycle Club support act) and The Staves.

Rae also made a trip to Glasgow to play at the Celtic Connections Festival, performing alongside the Carolina Chocolate Drops and much talked about new artist, Daughter.

For the London Fashion Week her music was used by top fashion house Burberry to launch their Women’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection in Hyde Park.

Rae can be seen on the front row at the show enjoying the catwalk parade to her latest song Walls on You Tube’s Highlights (Burberry Womenswear 2012). There are also videos of Rae’s new songs on the Burberry Website under Burberry Acoustic.

This month has seen Rae on her first UK headline tour with an opening gig at a packed Leaf venue in Liverpool before setting sail for her first shows in Belfast and Dublin. The tour also included Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester’s Night + Day.

Rae is being helped out on her travels by her brother, Will, recently returned from a backpacking trip around the world and now working as her tour manager.

To finish off the tour in fine style Rae has lined up a home town show at the Art Deco Cafe in Stanley Park on Saturday at 7.30pm. Special guests are JP Cooper and Preston singer/songwriter Seamus McLoughlin.

As a special thankyou to her fans it’s free admission and tickets can be ordered in advance from info@crisismanagement.uk.com

Next up are three shows with the chart topping band Noah and the Whale opening for them at Manchester’s 02 Apollo, The Royal Albert Hall and Shepherds Bush Empire. They’ll be followed by the extensive Bombay Bicycle Club dates.

In between her hectic schedule of live dates Rae has found time to record her first EP, which is scheduled for release next month.

She has been working with Noah and the Whale frontman and producer Charlie Fink.

Her debut album is due to follow later on in the year.
