PALOMA Faith, one of the slightly more quirky and therefore more interesting artists around, has announced a tour of forests. Yes, forests.

Faith, who played at the Illuminations switch-on in August, and is gearing up for a sell-out gig in Blackpool at the Opera House next month (February 13), is performing concerts in seven woodland locations this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert series.

So if you missed out on seeing her in Blackpool, and you’re fond of trees, the nearest woodland gigs she’s playing are at Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire (Sat June 29) and Delamere Forest in Cheshire (Friday July 5).

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday priced £32 (subject to booking fee). You can buy them from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400 or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
