A FLEETWOOD pub’s first comedy night proved so successful it could become a regular feature at the London Street hostelry.

More than 60 people turned up for the launch at the Wyre Light says organiser Darren ‘Daz’ Nelson, who has now booked a second night on Tuesday, October 4 from 7.30pm.

Headlining the evening will be musical comic Ray Kane with support from Tony Simpson and Sam Harland, the evening to be compered by Darren.

“The first evening proved very popular with over 60 people in attendance which is comparable to any comedy venue on a Tuesday night,” he said. “I’m hoping the audience from the first night will have told their friends, so we can build on those numbers and make the evening an established event on the local entertainment scene.”

The Wyre Light is also hosting a School Disco event every month, starting next Friday, September 30, from 9pm until 2am, with DJ Sean playing the hits from various decades – all on vinyl. Admission is free with spot prizes and giveaways for the best fancy dress.
