It’s an exploration of the darkness and light of extreme love from balletLORENT’s award winning artistic director and choreographer Liv Lorent, who brought the fairytale fantasy Angelmoth to the Grand in 2007.
This powerful new piece from one of Britain’s most exciting dance companies looks at the huge impact the arrival of a baby has on a relationship. As a couple experience a tender and all-consuming love for their newborn child, they begin to fight for affection and attention from each other. Fantasy memories of their wedding day play in contrast to their sense of isolation and a swarm of puppet-like children haunt their subconscious. Tender and powerful, with movement vocabulary sourced from both ballet and wrestling, Blood Sweat & Tears is inspired by the ups and downs of unconditional love.
The unmissable new work Blood Sweat & Tears from balletLORENT is at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre on Friday 25th March at 7.30pm.
