The Grand Theatre has announced its latest big summer show.

International smash-hit New Jersey Nights is coming to Blackpool direct from the USA for a month-long run. Tickets go on sale at noon today.

The show – the work of David King, an internationally acclaimed theatre producer who has had hits around the world – is a spectacular celebration of the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

It takes the audience on a nostalgic musical journey through the career of one of the biggest selling groups of all time and includes all of The Four Seasons’ greatest hits, including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Walk Like A Man.

It has been described as a “top class, high quality show” by the critics and ends a great couple of weeks for The Grand, which is also staging the theatre sensation BLAM! during the summer.

It means that with Mamma Mia! on in the Winter Gardens, the resort has an abundance of terrific shows over the next few months – probably the best choice of summer theatre for the last decade.

“Following our recent announcement of the international hit show BLAM!, we are delighted to announce that New Jersey Nights will be playing at the Grand Theatre this summer,” said Ruth Eastwood, chief executive at The Grand.

“It is a production which features an award-winning cast of singers, dancers, unique stage sets and an on stage band.

“If you are a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons lover, or just enjoy a fun music-filled night out, then this show is for you.”

The show’s executive producer David King is a multi award-winning and internationally acclaimed theatre producer, having produced hit shows all over the world and working with the likes of Elton John, Liza Minnelli and Lionel Richie.

King’s musical Spirit of The Dance became one of the biggest dance shows in the world, with 14 troupes performing in 14 different countries on the same night to 30 million people worldwide.

New Jersey Nights is on at The Grand from Sunday July 20 to Saturday August 16 and forms part of what the theatre hopes will be one of its most successful summer seasons in recent times.

The summer line up also includes Triple Tony award winning Avenue Q from July 1-5, the internationally acclaimed BLAM! from August 20-31, the ‘Queen of Comedy’ Dawn French in her first ever UK solo tour for four nights at the start of September, and
comedic legend Ken Dodd from Sunday, October 5.

Tickets for all the shows are now available.

New Jersey Nights is £19.50 adults, £17.50 concessions, and tickets can be purchased at www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk or the box office on (01253) 743339.
