Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro make a return visit to Blackpool this weekend, on their debut tour.
The musical theatre boy band will be joined by contest runner-up Lucy Kay for Saturday night’s show at the Opera House.
Stalls and balcony tickets are still available for the show, which will feature music from Collabro’s debut album – including their BGT-winning version of Stars from Les Miserables.
The harmony singers made their Blackpool debut last August at North Pier Live, when they gave a spine-tingling performance, alongside Lucy at the charity event.
The five-piece group – Michael Auger, Richard Hadfield, Jamie Lambert, Thomas Leak and Matthew Pagan – only formed a month prior to their audition for Britain’s Got Talent just 12 months ago, which saw them win standing ovations from the judges and public alike.
In a statement, the band said: “We are so excited to be going on tour and to be joined by Lucy Kay too – what a treat.
“We can’t wait to sing live to our fans and show the UK what we have to offer.”
Glasgow-based opera singer Lucy also stunned the Britain’s Got Talent judges and audience at her opening audition, performing Vissi D’arte, from Puccini’s Tosca, and ended up in second place thanks to her rendition of Nessun Dorma in the final.
She’s become something of a familiar face on the Fylde, having made two further visits to the resort since her North Pier debut – to switch on Blackpool’s Christmas lights and as an anti-bullying spokesperson at a youth conference last year.
On joining the tour Lucy said: “I feel so very honoured and excited to be joining Collabro on their UK tour.
“I’m living out one of my dreams and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a fun one.”
There will also be support from UK gospel singer Philippa Hanna.
