All-male a cappella group The Other Guys will be bringing their acclaimed harmonies to Lytham Proms Festival Weekend.

They are the latest musical talent to be confirmed for the summer celebration of music, bringing their entertaining take on a cappella to support the line up to Russell Watson’s Last Night At The Proms evening.

The group has found international and internet fame, after meeting as students at St Andrews University in Scotland, on YouTube.

And they have even stormed up the UK Indie chart to number three with their festive single Christmas Gets Worse Every Year last Christmas. Peter Taylor, festival director at Blackpool-based Cuffe & Taylor, said: “The Other Guys are a fantastic group of singers and entertainers and festival-goers are in for a real treat when they take to the stage.

“The group’s growing reputation has become synonymous with great harmony, humour and some suspect dance moves.” The group join internationally-renowned violinist and entertainer Gary Lovini for what promises to be a Saturday Proms night to remember on August 3 at Lytham Green.

Mr Taylor added: “We’re delighted with the line-up we are gathering for all three nights of the festival.

“It promises to be the strongest yet, with top performers from all genres of music bringing their talent and verve to the Fylde Coast.

“That is what the Lytham Proms Festival weekend is all about.”
